Pre-molded HDPE Bal-Last shells are laid out on the production floor for filling. The shells conform to the shape of the grinder pump and lock in place with provided locking spikes. The blocks are filled with high–strength concrete in order to provide a positive structural bond to the pump chamber. This allows the pump installer to backfill immediately after final connection of inlet and discharge piping and local inspection. Installers should follow all local inspection requirements.
The pre-filled blocks and hardware kits are shipped to our distributors on pallets with 24 blocks or 6 sets of 4 blocks.
